Squadly
A complete web platform for running a football club's online presence — a public website for fans and an admin panel for club staff, sharing one database.
The challenge
Where it started.
Most club websites store statistics as editable numbers, which drift out of sync with what actually happened on the pitch. Squadly needed every statistic to stay accurate automatically, without a manual recalculation step or a second copy of the truth.
Our approach
How we solved it.
- Split the platform into a public website (squad, fixtures, live rankings, stats, news, gallery) and a staff-only admin panel, sharing one database.
- Designed the system around recording what actually happened in each match — lineups, goals, assists, cards, MVP — instead of typed-in totals.
- Built SQL views that derive every statistic (top scorers, assists, appearances, win rate, clean sheets, goal difference) from raw match events at read time.
- Structured the schema around a multi-tenant clubs table so multiple clubs can be isolated in one database.
The results
What changed.
- Statistics that can never drift out of sync with reality — correcting one match event updates every leaderboard, profile, and chart instantly.
- No recalculation step, no cache to invalidate, and no way for numbers to disagree with the match record.
- A public-facing site fans can browse with no login required, alongside a full admin panel for staff to manage matches, news, and settings.
- A multi-tenant foundation ready to support more than one club from the same platform.
